Case Study
We prepare a website
for Regional Road Administration in Cracow

The website of the Regional Road Administration in Kraków had become outdated, causing users to be reluctant to visit it. They found it difficult to navigate, with the numerous tabs being a particular issue. Despite the administrative nature, we aimed to create a website that would be user-friendly.

In this industry, it is absolutely crucial because clients typically have many questions and specific preferences that can be quickly addressed by a company representative, who can then help in finding the perfect property. That’s why a contact window was included right on the homepage slider.

The ‘Call Us’ form requests the user’s name, phone number, email address, and a brief description of the service they are looking for. Following this, there is a search feature that has proven to be highly effective. With it, potential clients can easily verify if the company has properties that might interest them. Users can select the type of transaction, property type, market type (secondary or primary), location, price range, and size. This significantly speeds up the search process and encourages clients to return to the website, knowing that new listings may appear daily.

What have we managed to do?

During the work on the Regional Road Administration in Kraków’s website, we took care of every detail, even the smallest ones. We primarily focused on the graphics, which are particularly important in this case. For the homepage, we selected an aerial photograph featuring a bridge, immediately indicating the agency’s area of focus.

We also wanted to ensure that the homepage contained the most important information without overwhelming the user with too much content. That’s why we chose to use tiles with photo thumbnails and brief information about specific events. By clicking on a tile, users can be taken to a dedicated subpage, which is a very intuitive solution for every user.

Below the “events” section, there are the ongoing programs. This is an important element that had to be included on the homepage because it immediately informs the user about the current activities of the Regional Road Administration. Of course, we also understand that the ease of contact with such a public entity is of great importance. Therefore, at the very bottom of the page, there is a large message saying “Have questions? Call or write,” followed by the phone number for the secretariat and an email address.

At the very top, there is a clear menu that greatly facilitates user navigation on the website. We chose tabs such as “ZDW,” “Roads,” “Bike Routes,” “For the Client,” “Cooperation with Local Governments,” “Public Tenders,” and “Contact.” These are crucial for the public entity but, most importantly, make it easier for ordinary citizens to find their way around the site when looking for information on ongoing projects and investments.

An additional advantage is the galleries on the website, which attract users’ attention and allow them to see the various stages of the projects being carried out by the unit. The photographs can be easily enlarged, making it easy and enjoyable to view them on both a computer and a mobile device.

What Regional Road Administration company gain?

The Regional Road Administration in Kraków has gained a more modern website, which does not discourage users from exploring it. It is user-friendly and encourages visitors to return. A major advantage is the search engine located at the top of the site, which allows users to find specific information more efficiently, a significant feature for this type of public institution.

However, that’s not all, as we also placed icons at the top that link users to the institution’s Facebook profile. There is also a phone number, which facilitates communication between citizens and the agency.

The website is clear, with unobtrusive graphics achieved through the use of shades of blue and white, making it very readable. Importantly, these colors also ensure that the posted photos are clearly highlighted and look great. It is a modern site that can be continuously updated and looks good on mobile devices as well.
